Yukiko Uchida Profile She graduated from the Faculty of Education at Kyoto University and completed her doctoral studies at the Graduate School of Human and Environmental Studies at the same university. She holds a PhD in Human and Environmental Studies. She has served as a visiting scholar at the University of Michigan and Stanford University, and as an assistant professor, associate professor, and professor at the Kokoro Research Center at Kyoto University. She is currently a professor and dean of the Institute for Future Human and Social Studies at Kyoto University. She specializes in social psychology and cultural psychology, conducting comparative cultural research on emotions, interpersonal relationships, and well-being. From 2010 to 2013, she served as a member of the Cabinet Office Study Group on Happiness, where she was involved in developing indicators for Japan's happiness level. Her publications include "On the Future of Happiness: Promoting a Cultural View of Happiness" (Shinyosha).
